15 months old

Our little booger is now 15 months old! I don't want to blink anymore. It goes to fast and I'm afraid that I'm going to miss something! It seems like this month August is learning more words. Even though we are probably the only ones that can understand what he is saying. He knows what he wants and will say it but usually says just the first syllable. He's getting there though. We have been pretty sick around our house with a stomach bug so this past week has been a hard one. August doesn't do sick very well. He gets pretty whiney and cranky and needy.....just like his daddy :) And it seems like it takes forever for him to get over something. He is still running a fever and won't eat or drink hardly anything. I'm afraid that he's going to waste away to nothing. I'm already afraid to take him out side because the wind will just pick him up and blow him away! I took him to the doctor this week for his 15 month check up. He only weighs 21 pounds which is in the 14th %tile. I think that he weighed more than that before he decided to puke up everything that we put down him, including water. He is now 32 1/4 in. long which is in the 83%tile. According to their measurements, he only grew a 1/4 in. but I'm pretty certain that is wrong seeing that he doesn't fit into his 18 month footie jammies anymore! He was wiggling around quite a bit when we measured him.

This month we took a trip to Granbury, Texas to see our cousins Brad & Lesha Coker and their twin boys, Trace and Trevin. We had a wonderful time, saw beautiful country, and got a lot accomplished :) Maybe we will be neighbors someday?

August got his first "official" hair cut this month. Daddy cut it the past two times but he is just getting too wiggly. It didn't turn out to bad. It was super short afterwards so it was hard to get used to but it is already growing out so much that he almost needs another one. I was sad to see the little curls go away though :)

It was finally nice enough one day to let August go outside and play. Poor guy couldn't figure out how to walk in grass! Be sure and look at the second picture down from this one. It was taken only two days later.....Colorado weather for you!
This is how you keep a little boy away from fresh paint! He wasn't too happy about it!
Yep, now its snow!
We bundled August up and let him go outside and play. He doesn't have very good mittens so these kept falling off. But that was ok with him because it was easier to eat the snow this way! That's all he wanted to do.
One of the words that August knows how to say very well is Brrrrrr! I guess that's all he knows right now. Everytime I tell him that we can't go outside right now because its too cold he says, Brrrrr!
Redneck sledding!
Nothing like an early morning sunrise coming through the windows to show off my cool rooster tail!
This is Brad's invention! I have to admit it worked pretty well.
The walking trail in Granbury, Tx

This is not the best picture at all but I love his facial expression here as he is about to go down the slide. With the nice weather lately we have gone to the park several times and he loves to climb up the stairs and go down all by himself!
I was trying to get a picture of all thee boys but of course they wouldn't stay still. So, here is Trace and Trevin and August in the background!
Bath time for the boys
This is cool mom! I think that you need to get some bubbles for my bath!
I want the toy in the very back!
Just playin
Daddy doesn't know how to sit in a hammock. Does this look comfortable to anyone?
Here I go a easter egg huntin!
Some of the kids at the easter egg hunt. It was impossible to get a picture of all of them. They were just ready to GO! August was more interested in taking the grass out of Trevin's basket. This did not go over so well. But after we got all the grass returned to the basket, they were ready to go!
I got one! Nice wind hair!
Here's another one!
Running back to Daddy to put it in the basket.
This is not a great picture, but we didn't realize that August had put a whole kiss into his mouth, foil and all. This is chocolate all over his face. I think that he enjoyed it!
This kid puts everything in his mouth. He is walking around with a ball in his mouth! I don't know how he got it in there but he thought it was funny.
Look mom! I found the PERFECT spot to park my ball popper!
Ouch! This is August first REAL big oops. He ran into the corner of a desk and had quite the goose egg for several days. This is several days after it happened so it is starting to fade a little.
Finally a smile for the camera.
Playing outside on the deck in my new cowboy boots.....from Walmart!!!!
I love my new boots!
